Accessibility Information
Important accessibility information
We operate an open-to-all policy, meaning we welcome all guests including people with disabilities, when it is safe to do so. Our check-in location at the Rottnest Island is fully accessible for skydivers and spectating family and friends. However, please read through the available information below and in the Adventure Activities section of this document to find out if participating in a skydiving experience is safe and possible for you.
Location information
We are located on Rottnest Island in Western Australia. Car movements are limited on the island. Generally, guests make their way to our location at the Rottnest Island Airport by walking or riding a bike. Guests with limited mobility are encouraged to utilise the Quokka Coaches Shuttle Bus.
Skydive Geronimo operates a transport vehicle for spectators. This departs regularly from the check-in location at the Rottnest Island Airport to the designated beach landing area, and return. Please note that our 3 beach landing areas (determined by the wind direction on the day) offer very limited accessibility to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility.
Adventure Activities
Tandem skydiving is available for guests with hearing impairments, visual impairments and intellectual disabilities. For safety reasons, wheelchair users and people with physical disabilities are generally unable to participate in skydiving. Our experienced instructors will need to complete a safety assessment before confirming your booking. Please get in touch with Skydive Geronimo via phone or email to discuss your individual needs.
Additional information:
- No additional specialist equipment is available.
- In the rare event of an emergency water landing, guests must be able to put on a life jacket and swim.
- The Australian Parachute Federation also requires that participants demonstrate the ability to lift their legs for a parachute landing.
- Some remote beach landing areas involve long walks on paths that are not wheelchair accessible.
If you’d like to discuss whether skydiving is possible for you, please contact us with your specific requirements.
