It’s Blue Skies Over Perth City for Skydive Geronimo During Rottnest Maintenance

By Glenn Stutt Jul 15, 2025

Thrill seekers can see the city from a completely new perspective…

We’re offering a strictly limited run of tandem city skydives, landing in Langley Park, coordinated to take place for one month only while the Rottnest Island runway gets a makeover.

It’s an incredible urban skydiving experience during the upcoming coming weeks of the Rottnest Aerodrome runway closure. For approximately one month only, we’re offering the unique opportunity to fly like a bird over the glistening buildings of the world’s most isolated city, surrounded by the stunning backdrop of the Indian Ocean, Perth’s city skyline, the sparkling Swan River and beyond.

This temporary move to the mainland gives locals and visitors alike a breathtaking chance to experience the gleaming skyscrapers of the CBD in a truly superhero fashion. Strapped securely to an instructor, skydivers will get the ultimate adrenaline rush and a magnificent panoramic view as they leap from 15,000ft above the city. With the green landscape of Langley Park welcoming jumpers as a landing zone, this is an opportunity to see the city, Swan River, King’s Park and the entire Perth area from a once-in-a-lifetime perspective.

We’ll be offering our strictly limited Perth City jumps from the 17th of July 2025 to mid-August 2025 only. This rare and exclusive window will only be open for the few weeks of Rottnest Airport runway closure. Naturally, we remain committed to the highest levels of safety at all times, with all bookings, vouchers and gift jumps being honoured at this new, temporary location. Alternatively, skydivers can reschedule their bookings for an island jump once Rottnest runway reopens.

The $4.3 million dollar upgrade to the Rottnest runway and airport is being funded by the State Government of Western Australia. More details can be found on the Rottnest Island Project Authority website.

Skydive Geronimo is taking bookings now for our limited edition, Perth City jumps.
