More Airspace, More Instructors, More Skydiving Joy this Summer with Skydive Geronimo
There are many wonderful places to skydive in the world. But the azure ocean, white sands and jaw-dropping views of the shimmering Perth skyline while freefalling over Rottnest Island is surely one of the best! Skydive Geronimo is the only operator who offers tandem jumps in this glorious corner of WA – and they’ve just increased their availability.
Summer is fast approaching here, and with it the clear skies and ideal weather to tick off a true bucket list experience – a freefall tandem parachute jump. Skydive Geronimo has long been the only provider for anyone wanting to experience taking off from the paradise-found island of Rottnest (19 km from Perth) and gliding down to land on one of its snowy-white sand beaches. The company is delighted to announce that they’ll have extra capacity this summer – including over Christmas, the ideal time to book a jump or treat or a loved one.
As a small, family-run business, the team often found it challenging to keep up with the skydiving demand. But not anymore… Because the husband-and-wife team has hand-selected some extra, highly qualified, instructors who share their passion for both skydiving and the ‘Geronimo’ way of doing things.
With six instructors in total, the team now offers jumps all day on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. There’s also morning availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. For the next few weeks, we have availability all day, 7 days a week (not just Friday to Monday).
Tandem skydives are suitable for almost everyone, with no experience necessary. Enjoy an in-depth safety briefing, during which all questions will be answered. From then on, the adrenaline builds. The breathtaking scenic flight gives a unique bird’s eye view of the amazing Western Australian landscape. But that’s nothing compared to the rush that comes from leaping into the abyss, safely strapped to an instructor, to experience the incredible buzz of 66 seconds of freefall. Once the chute is deployed, jumpers get a further five minutes of soaring, bird-like, above this idyllic location before landing on the soft white sands of one of three Rottnest beaches.

Glenn works tirelessly in all aspects of the business – from student and instructor training through to equipment safety, PR, Australian Parachute Federation (APF) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) compliance and everything in between. He also delivers education sessions to local pilots about skydiving operations in Perth and the surrounding area.
