Prestigious Tourism Accolade For Rottnest Skydiving Company
Rottnest skydiving operator, Skydive Geronimo is flying high after being announced as a finalist in the prestigious Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards for 2021.
Skydive Geronimo is a finalist in the Adventure Tourism category – an achievement which the company’s founder and chief instructor, Glenn Stutt, attributed to the team’s hard work and ceaseless commitment to customer service excellence.
The annual WA Tourism awards are sponsored by the McGowan Government and hosted by the Tourism Council Western Australia. Now in their 49th year, the awards span 26 categories and recognise business excellence, innovation and outstanding customer service by tourism operators. The adventure tourism category celebrates experiences that involve both visitor participation and a personal challenge.
The WA winners will be announced at a gala dinner on November 13, with the national Qantas Australian Tourism Awards taking place at a gala event in March 2022.
“This is another high point in Skydive Geronimo’s 12-year history in adventure tourism in West Australia and it is an honour to stand tall among the other strong contenders,” Stutt added.
“Covid-19 has brought significant challenges and everyone involved in the state’s tourism industry has had to dig deep to weather the storm. Skydiving in one of the most spectacular locations in the world doesn’t simply sell itself – every member of our company works hard every day to deliver an exceptional adventure tourism experience ,’ he said.
Skydive Geronimo was established in 2010 by Stutt and his wife, Amy and they launched their Rottnest skydiving enterprise in 2016 with the mission of offering ‘Australia’s best skydiving experience’.
